Portuguese AlphaJet A; 1:72; Fujimi

When I found this old kit in a flea market I knew it wouldbe my very next build. I have a friend who made its first solo flight in this aircraft so, although the kit was an 'E' version (it would be easy to made an 'A' out of it), I would build his bird.
The diferences between the 'A' and the 'E' versions are some antenas and, the biggest, the nose, which (lucky me) the kit contained as unnecessary part 😀
So I started this buil as soon as I got home. It was an easy build, with some cockpit, landing gear lights and antenas scratch.
As I didn't have the decals, everything was painted. The stencils and crosses are homeprinted decals.
Hope you like.

Cheers,
M

  1. Another great result fooling the scale, Manuel! Amazing that you painted everything!

  2. Fine work António! I still have both in 72nd and 48th scales the Cruz de Cristo insignia made in decal form by esquadrão 33. I used them long ago in an F-16 and they worked perfectly

  3. It might be an 'alpha' - I'll say 'primeira', Manuel!
Beauty job on this Fujimi kit. Nice paintwork, especially those nice small insignia and crosses.

  4. Looks fantastic in 1/72 Manuel. What kind of paints did you use ?
It shows how elegant this jet is very well.

  5. Looks great, Manuel, difficult to believe it’s 1/72 scale from your photos.

  6. Fantastic result, Manuel @magrus. Hard to believe this is just 1/72. The work on the decals is superb. Well done.

  7. Well done, Manuel (@magrus). I am old enough to remember when these were still flying. I have a couple of these in the 1/48 version that are hopefully in the build queue soon.

  8. Another great build,Manuel! @margrus

  9. The Alphajet is such an elegant little airplane - I really like them. This one is fantastic! I need to build a few more...
