Trumpeter Mig-3 in VVS Winter colours, 1/48
A quick build over Christmas of a Soviet VVS Mig-3 fighter in a weathered but not totally worn through winter camo scheme from a 1/48 scale Trumpeter kit. I tried out going for some more aggressive chipping effects but didn't really like it and so went for a less worn look since these birds often didn't have a very long service life anyway.
A companion for my winter Bf-109G from last autumn.

I've only made two Trumpeter kits in the past few years (the other being a J-10B jet fighter) and both have been broadly impressive as far as my own experience went... a bit more filling and careful assembly needed than Tamiya, and surface detail isn't up to Eduard standards but still better than Airfix and Revell I reckon...?
