Special Hobby 1/72 Supermarine Sea Otter
Probably taken me 8 or 9 months to finally get this one over the finish line. Life just gets in the way, eh ? Really nice little kit, with a decent level of detail for the scale. Finished mainly in MRP paint, weathered with various oil colours and MIG powders. The model depicts JM744, FAA No. 771 Squadron, RNAS Hatston (HMS Sparrowhawk), Orkneys, 1944.
A wonderful result out of the nice but challenging Special Hobby kit, Robert!
You mastered it!
Congratulations!
Thank you, Spiros!
A really beautiful build, impressive rigging and very beautiful subtle weathering.
Thanks Felix. Much appreciated.
Excellent build, Robert @rob-cookson
The weathering is a very good, just like the overall finish, especially in this scale.
Thank you John - glad you liked it.
Super model Robert. Perfectly weathered π
Thanks Guy. It's always difficult to know when to call it a day with the weathering.
Very nice work Robert. Real plane for balls of Steel Flying ( and Boating ! )
Thank you, Bernard. All I know is that you would never get me up in one of those things, although I'd love to be given the chance to turn it down !
The crew really make these pictures work, the contrasting colours are great.
Thanks George, the figures are from Gunthwaite Miniatures.
Gorgeous looking Sea Otter, excellent work!
Thank you Bob !
Well thatβs a little jewel, Robert!
