All was going quite well until the top wing had to go on. The locating 'male' nipples on the ends of the struts were ~ 0.3 mm deep, almost pointless. Combine that with struts that were probably from different kits and you get the picture. I started

with the cabane stuts and worked my way outboard. Turns out they were too long meaning the next came up short and finally the outermost were too long🤬

If you have this kit...Beware!

  1. Yea! Totally get it. Putting that top wing on has beaten me at times. Worse than the rigging. Lovely kit though. A beautiful little biplane and a delight to fly apparently.

  2. Beautiful result indeed, David!

  3. In the end a beautiful result, David @mentaldental

  4. One would never know it was troublesome by the final result. Wow! 🤩 That looks fantastic David @mentaldental! Beautiful paintwork and realistic weathering combine to produce a stunner. 🏆

  5. Still a superb result. I think this kit is based on the molds for the Classic Airframes kit, which had the same problem.

  6. You overcame the trials of the wing struts perfectly, David. You ended up with a beautiful model, expertly painted and weathered. As with your MC.200, the airbrushed camo is most impressive.

  7. Nice work, David. Hopefully they’ll get their strut geometry calculations right if/when they do a CR.32!

  8. Beautiful work David!

  9. Nicely done! Nice group of Italian aircraft

  10. With the difficulties you mentioned David what a superb model. Fantastico 😊

  11. A trifecta of beauties - your paint work on these Italian schemes is just excellent.

  12. Wow David another difficult kit that you've nailed, amazing work man.

  13. Well done, David. I'm about to start this kit myself! I'll heed your warnings and hope for a build half as well done as yours. The paint job is spectacular and the weathering is spot on!

  14. David, I can only repeat the comments by others. A truly superb result with wonderful camouflage & weathering.

  15. Glad you've enjoyed this.
