HOBBYBOSS Me262 B-1a/U1
Having almost got my health back (not 100%, but getting there), i decided i'd build this HobbyBoss Me262 nightfighter. Fitment was good, apart from the shaped metal nose weight that needed a little grinding to allow the nose to fit together.
When it came to paint, i mixed my own shades of grey, which i think came out OK. The camoflage "squiggles" we done freehand, and i was WAY out of my comfort zone, but again, i think they look acceptable.
Decals were from the kit, apart from the swastika, which came from an aftermarket set.
Paints and varnishes (gloss and matt) were from Vallejo.
Hope you all like.
This is a wonderful result, Tony! Glad you are back and running!
Thanks Spiros. It's a uphill battle, but I'm getting there.
Starting a Beaufighter next.
Comfort zone...
Yeah right... And I have some swamp land I will sell you cheap too! Camo work is stellar! I'd hate to see what your camo work will be when you get it down. To me it looks like you've been at it for quite some time. Again it looks sweet...
Lol, would you believe it was my FIRST attempt at "worms"?
Had my airpressure at about 10psi, a .3 needle and just "went for it". Worst case scenario it would have had the standard fighter scheme painted over the top and not put on imodeller.
Nice job, those squiggles look fine to me!
Thanks Chas, I'm now on a STEEP learning curve regarding re-scribing panel lines.) Now that is "Dark Magic")
Excellent work, even though you are not 100% yet, Tony @tonyanderton
Let's hope this last climb to the 100% will proceed quickly.
The grey shading and the squiggles do look perfect to me.
Well done.
Thanks John, most appreciated
Great job Tony 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Tarantino, most appreciated.
Very nice! I love the night-fighter schemes, and this one came out looking very good!
Thanks Greg, most appreciated
Nicely done. Good looking scheme.
Thanks Robert, was unsure of the camo work.
