PRO MODELER Ju 52
With help from fellow member and modeler Tom Bebout , I was able to locate this model. I am adding it to my D-Day / Operation Overlord collection to display at our local library. The kit is #5944 Junkers Ju 52/3m Transport. A few areas were tricky, takes a lot of test fitting but over all it was a fun build!
Nice job on a kit you don't see built too often!
Thank you.
VERY nice !
@tom-bebout
Tom Bebout is a really good fellow too. He has helped me out on more than one occasion.
Please tell him I said hello.
Thanks, and I agree.
Nicely done Robert, she looks nice. And big too.
Thanks Tom, and thanks again for the Help.
Amazing result, Robert. Looks vey imposing, as do the figures!
Tom @tom-bebout is a wonderful person.
Thanks 👍
Your library will be very pleased with this latest addition to their display, I hope they’ve sufficient room.
I’m sure it will fit. I previously had a B-24 and a B-17 on the shelves

Very nice work and a great result.
Amazingly, this kit and the Catalina were produced by Monogram because they had been #1 and #2 respectively on every Modeler's Most Wanted survey for the10 years before they arrived. Once available, they became shelf-sitters. I tell that story to every plastic model company I have consulted with - never listen to modelers. 🙂
Thank you and thanks for the info.
A beautiful Aunt Ju, Robert @bsc4849
The paint and weathering looks very relistic.
Thanks
Very nice, even if there was filling, it does not show! @bsc4849
Thanks
Superb Tante Ju!
Thank you.
Well done, Robert! I'm glad you were able to track down a kit.
Excellent model, Robert! I reluctantly sold one of those last summer as part of the downsizing/streamlining process.
Awasome work. As an ex para-trooper I wanted to ask where you got the figures .
Thanks for showing.
Thanks for your reply. The figures actually came with the kit except the gunner was a pilot from another kit. I had to trim his legs to fit.
Magnificent and well found! Tom mentioned the Revell Catalina and I managed to track it down and build it. It's one of my favourites. 1/72 doesn't do these kits justice.
Thanks and I agree completely.
Looks great! I love the tri-motor aircraft - unique look.
Thanks. I was surprised that the outboard engines were offset.
Very nice - one of my favorites!
Thanks
