100 Ans de Le Mans – Sauber-Mercedes C9
Here's the final result of my attempt at building the Tamiya 1:24 scale Sauber-Mercedes C9, the winner of the 1989 Le Mans race, as my entry in the Le Mans 100 year anniversary group.
This is a very well-engineered kit that builds into a great looking model despite my attempts at mucking it up.
You can read the build thread here: https://imodeler.com/groups/le-mans-100-year-anniversary/forum/topic/1989-sauber-mercedes-c9/.
Nicely done Greg, looks good.
Thank you!
Very nice result, Greg @gwfabian
Especially the detailing on the engine is great.
Thanks, I'm fighting the desire to add more.
Your attempt to muck it up failed, @gwfabian,
it looks perfect, the extra detailing is great, and the paint finish is superb.
That looks great Greg @gwfabian. Love the cleanliness of the build and the excellent detail.
@gwfabian - Very nice build Greg! The engine detail looks fantastic.
Amazing job, Greg! It might be a good kit, but takes your excellent skills to come up with such a superb result!
Thanks Sprios. I'm thinking I should have bought two of these models - one as a "test mule" and the other as the "keeper".
Those body panels look like they fit like a glove! Fantastic result.
