That exhaust work looks amazing, Adam. And that goes for the cockpit and overall paint and weathering work as well, outstanding effects! I plan on starting my Meng F-4E shortly, but I can't wait to see your final build!
Echoing all the comments above. Showroom work on this Phantom. I always wonder if they really have that many labels on them or if they add to the decal sheet just to annoying modelers? One sure doesnβt see that much stenciling in photos.
Yeah I was a bit sad the stencils are so big.. they aren't that big on the real thing, but They're already there so there is nothing I can do anymore π
@adamlanguh - Fantastic work Adam! Incredible level of realism in your weathering. The detail in the cockpit is amazing and all the decals make me wonder if anyone actually reads all of them on the real thing.

The weathering looks amazing a do the decals. How much time did you spent on that huge amount of stencils?
Thank you π
I used heavly diluted Gunze 1500 white primer, psi set to about 13-15 and 0,15 needle.Other than then that there isnt any techniques I used I only uned my hand.. no tools or anything π
Great pics, Adam!

Thank you very much, I'll defenitly post pictures of the finished thing π I am sure your F-4E will look beautiful.
Now that looks like a Marine Phantom! Exquisite work, I love the weathered look you've achieved.
A Phabulous Phantom!. You nailed the hot section and weathering, especially the engine access doors.
Beautiful! Well done, Adam

Actually, a Phantom does indeed have that many stencils when it comes out of the factory.
They soon disappear do to wear and tear of a deployment.

the decal work took me about three days π
Well done, Adam (@adamlanguh). Nothing looks better than a Phantom, loaded with stencil markings, and with great paint and weathering. Looks awesome.
Terrific work, Adam.
Looks like a masterpiece to me. Well done! @adamlanguh
What techniques did you use when creating the marble effect as shown in the last pic?
Thanks.

That is a beauty! I am a HUGE Phantom fan, so am really drawn to this one. Paint and weathering work are fantastic.
Did an F-4 from this Era also and it seems like I decaled stencils for a month.
