1/72 B-25D.
This is the new mold Airfix kit that came out in 2018. I built it straight from the box and finished it with the kit supplied decals for the 23rd AS squadron in 1942. This unit was based in Tampa, FL and made deployments to Cuba, Trinidad, and Gulfport, MS in search of German submarines. The whites are Tamiya lacquer and acrylics, the topside OD is from Xtracolor, the medium green splotches and everything else is Humbrol. This was another pleasurable model from Airfix that built up with zero drama. The only issues that I encountered were due to operator error. I got a little bleed thru under the canopy masks which I did my best to scrape off and fix with some tiny Future applications. I might give those areas a pin wash with OD to completely eradicate them. I also found the antenna masts were not rigid enough to accept EZ line wires. If I were to do another one of these, I'd replace the masts with brass rod filed to shape. Overall, this was a very satisfying kit and it is now at home on my Battle of the Atlantic shelf.
Happy modeling!
Excellent result, John! Your B-25 shines and I love your chosen scheme! Excellent build thread too, a joy to follow.
Your Battle of the Atlantic shelf looks awesome!
Thank you, Spiros. Still room to grow too.
Great work and paint scheme on your B-25. The U-boat and plane collection is a winner.
Thanks, Dale!
What a beautiful build, John @j-healy ! Lovely colors, looks fantastic!

Nice work John. I do like that collection.
Thanks, Tom!
Cool model, John @j-healy 😎😁
Thanks, Gary. It really is a cool model. I like the schemes Airfix chooses for these new kits. Lots of unusual ones.

This looks very nice ! I can see myself building one of these using an Accurate Miniatures kit in 1/48. My eyes don't allow me to build 1/72 anymore. I'm also happy to hear you didn't have any troubles with the hurricane.
Thanks, Louis!
I enjoy the unevenness of the paint fade between the olive drab and white. Very nice work, John.
Thanks, John. I found some interesting spray jobs when I looked these planes up online.
That's a fine looking sub hunter - looks good in the Atlantic scheme!
Thanks, Chas!
Nothing looks better than a B-25 in the sub-hunting scheme, John (@j-healy). It was a pleasure following this build in your WIP. Well done.
Thanks, George!
This Mitchell looks amazing, John @j-healy

Great job, John (@j-healy)! The Battle of the Atlantic is not commemorated often enough. A truly unique model. Thank you for sharing it!
Thanks, Matt!
Looks great, and I'm also a fan of that scheme. I have that kit, and may do the same!
Thanks, Greg!
Fantastic B-25!
Thanks, Lis!
That’s one good lookin’ Mitchell, John @j-healy. Enjoyed your WIP thread.
Thanks, Erica!
Really well done, John (@j-healy). Atlantic scheme is one of my favorites. It was a pleasure following along on your WIP.
Thanks, George! The miracle of the inter webs has made what was once a solitary pursuit even more fun!
