Hawker Sea Fury Marine Luchtvaart Dienst (Royal Dutch Navy)
This time not an aircraft of the RNLAF, but one which was operated by the Royal Dutch Navy (MLD).
The Hawker Sea Furies were not only operated from land but their was also a squadron that was stationed at the aircraft carrier “Hr. Ms. Karel Doorman” from 1948 until they were all replaced by the Hawker Sea Hawk in 1957.
The MLD had a total of 47 Sea Furies, of which 25 were built by Fokker in license.
The kit is from Airfix (A06106) and is a pleasure to build. No aftermarket stuff used.
