Jump! (DHC-2 Beaver diorama)
The De Havilland Canada-2 Beaver from Airfix was my first kit I ever built, late in the seventies. So when I heard it was reedited I knew I would revisit the 1/72 model that essentially it's the same but with improved decals. Of course it has been a nice build and I think that even with today's eyes it still is a busy kit with p.e. lots of interior parts, and I would not credit it as an entry level kit.
It is been said that the DHC-Beaver is the most rugged and safest aircraft ever built, and possessed outstanding STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) capabilities.
I kept the original Airfix pilot flying the machine and added Germania-figuren and a dog, with litlle or no transformations. I also put luggage from Whitestorkminiatures and everything was ready for the jump!
Have a good summer time and see you next project!
