Yep, another TF :)
Been working on this for almost a year, hard to believe. It's a Tamiya 1/48th kit with my TF mod. Contrary has always been one of my favorite paint schemes and the Lifelike decals really bring it to life. It's finished in Alclad and Tamiya paints and I tried to match the ultra clean finish as executed on the full scale operating out of England. Thanks for having a look!

Thanks Neil! The checkerboard decals come from Lifelike. They conform beautifully…and even better with Mr Hobby Decal softener. I make a resin fuselage plug, rear instrument panel console, the backseat floor, and the TF tail cap. I also vacuum form the canopy. I really want to go deeper in to the aftermarket mods but converting to 3D printing has been time consuming with the learning curve. Resin still works great though!

Pretty sure this is a John Dibbs photo. This Mustang used to fly as Miss Velma until an issue forced an off field landing. It was rebuilt as CM. She is a dual controlled ‘TF-51’ with the long canopy.

Looks great, even if a little odd with that canoe canopy! Nice finish and beautiful scheme.
Lol never heard it called a Canoe…that’s pretty funny. Mostly referred to as the T-28 canopy, not nearly as funny.
