USS North Carolina BB55, Revell 1/570 scale

January 24, 2024 · in Ships · · 15 · 331

Originally released in 1969, this off scale kit of the North Carolina depicts the ship as she was end /post war configuration with her main deck forward AA guns removed. Commissioned in 1937. She was the first of the fast battle ships. Serving mostly in the Pacific.decommissioned1947, in 1961 she was selected to become a museum ship at Wilmington NC where she is to this day.

I added p/e handrails and some rigging. the original anchors were molded to the hull, I got a couple from Atlantis models Missouri kit.
