Aftermarket detailing: IDF RF-4E
An easy access to comprehensive reference material, not to mention scrutiny in salvaged aircraft led to this project. This was an opportunity to exploit the full range of resin aftermarket kits designed for the Hasegawa 1/48 RF-4E. Detail sets included Aires cockpit and engine exhausts together with Isradecal stencils. The accessories were divided between to kits representing the two IDF color schemes common to the RF-4E. The faded hues of the desert camouflage were influenced by the derelict condition of aircraft in the salvage area.
Beautiful work on these… the painting is for nice.
Thank you Jay.
They certainly look very good, Rafi, but Ithink that’s mainly down to your excellent paintwork.
Thank you George.
A walk in a forbidden place can make wonders.
Wow, you really know how to work that airbrush, Rafi. Weathering, decals...it all looks great. Outstanding Phantoms!
Thank you Joe.
Well done Recce Kurnasses.
Thank you Dan!
Beautiful pair of F4s Rafi. Really nice work as always.
Thank you Clint.
They are both beautiful - two of my favorite Phantom schemes. Are these 1/72? I need to get some IsraDecals for my gray RF-4E I have ready in the stash.
Thank you Greg.
These are 1/48th scale.
Two more beauties, Rafi @blackmopane
Your skills are clearly visible on both Phantoms.
I particularly like the grayish one with the side panels and canopies open.
Thank you John.
Two beautiful Phantoms, always a favorite. And done-up in IAF colors too, a bonus. Thank you for the great photos.
Thank you Thomas.
Your usual excellent paintwork makes these two real standouts, Rafi.
Thank you Tom!
Excellent job on both, Rafi! Superb painting and utterly realistic weathering!
Thank you Spiros!
Wonderful work. Here's my recent build.
