Pacific Coast Models Hawker Hurricane I (1/32 scale)

April 8, 2024 · in Aviation · · 14 · 321

My model depicts F/O Richard Brooker climbing aboard 56 Squadron P3153 at North Weald in August 1940. The kit is quite accurate though challenging to build, but I used the Brian Fawcett additions of a “dog kennel”, the area of the fuselage immediately behind the cockpit, and nose section. The spinner and prop blades are AIMS models additions. The pilot figure is by Black Dog but the head is from my spares box and hands are from Hornet models.

  7. Thank you all for your kind comments, the Hawker Hurricane is my favourite aeroplane of all time, which is one of the reasons why I treated myself to a flight in one last May on my 75th birthday!

Another Hurricane coming very shortly, this time Revell’s new tool Mk IIB, finished as a Hurribomber of 175 Squadron.
