Would love to meet fellow iModelers at the Route 66 Model Expo!
Just a short promo - our show is April 20th in Tulsa. If you are a fellow iModeler, I'd love to meet you! Here's the website with details: http://www.route66modelexpo.com.
By the way - we've sold 50 vendor tables - a great time to add to the stash, and we really put on an enjoyable show!
If you come - I'll be at the registration table most of the morning. Say hi!
Thanks for the invite, Greg @gkittinger
I would definitely like to visit but not sure if I will make it by then.
For sure this will be a great expo and please share some pictures afterwards.
I agree. Show us some photos when you get a chance, Greg @gkittinger. Hope you guys have a great turnout.
Sorry, Greg, but I’m more than 24 hours from Tulsa, but get your kicks on Route 66.
WishI I could make it Greg! Will be an amazing event!
I have to consider the pluses and minuses. Drive eleven hours. (minus) Two hundred and thirty gallons of gas divided by fifty vendor tables. (plus🫢) Convince the wife to travel eleven hours in the car. (+&-) I think she will acquiesce when she realizes she doesn’t have to worry about what’s for dinner for a couple of days. See lots of old Route 66 stuff along the way. (plus) Model show/swap meet where Greg Kittenger has a role in the proceedings. (plus)
I am much more inclined to try to make this one than Madison which is two and a half hours away. I might have to seek professional help to figure that one out. Put me down as a maybe.
@russjurco you have a wicked sense of humor! I am NOT trying to create marital issues here - was thinking more of those closer to Tulsa! But hey, if you're willing to take the risk...
My bad. It is $230.00 for sixty gallons of gas at $3.89/gal. not 230 gallons for a 1425 mile round trip.
I'll be touring part of the country during that time, I will be in the area for the Route 66 Expo. I will see you then!
Sounds great Bob! I look pretty much like my picture, but the hair has turned a few shades grayer since that photo... I'll be sitting at the registration table most of the morning (unless I sneak away for a moment to try to spend $$$ at the vendor tables...)
