AFV Club 1/35 Stryker M1126 8x8 ICV

June 22, 2024 · in Armor · · 12 · 179

The is a formidable wheeled AFV. And, the model captures well the lines of the vehicle without applying much effort in the build.

  1. Another awesome model, Rafi! Excellent details and ditto painting and weathering!

  2. A beautiful representation of the Stryker, Rafi @blackmopane
    Great weathering.

  3. Great build of an impressive beast Rafi.

  4. Very nicely done. A really nice kit that builds well. I used it to build my son's Stryker when he was stationed with the 3rd Cavalry Regiment...

    • Thank you Tom.
It looks as if Trumpeter's Stryker is as good as AFV Club's.

      • It really went together well with no real issues. The only downside, if you will, is that I couldn't pose the wheels and tires except moving straight ahead...that is unless I wanted to do some major plastic surgery. Not a real problem for me. I chose the Trumpeter kit because my son was a Fire Support Team (FIST) leader and this kit models an M1131 Fire Support Vehicle with the Laser range finder and target designator. Like I said, your build is beautiful...and I apologize because I did not intend to hijack your thread.

        • Thank you Tom for the information.
Setting a 4 wheeled steering mechanism is difficult. I do not thing that AFV Club's kit has it because I would have used it.
No problem. I already checked the price of this kit and appears to be a good candidate for my next AFV purchase.

  5. Very nicely done indeed
