1/144 Dogfight: Armory Models Bf-109 vs Mark I Models Bristol Beaufighter
I tend to make most of my models "alive". So far I've made flying airplanes, recreated missile launches, waterbombing, crop dusting...This time I tried to make machinegun tracers. WW2 was most logical theme and 1/144 scale allowed whole scenario to be squeezed in 30x10 cm space. I used Armory Models Bf-109 and Mark I Models Bristol Beaufighter kits which were very decent and pleasure to build. Base is Chinese bamboo plate, water and fire are made of silicone sealant mixed with paint.
Outstanding work, Boris. Love the tracers! Did you use clear fishing line and paint it? That was my plan for a project I have on the back burner. I really love the effect you achieved.
I'm afraid there is no fishing line thin enough for 1/144 scale. I used 0,02 mm thin elastic thread I bought on Ebay few years ago and painted few layers of fluorescent orange and yellow.
That's pretty cool - well done!
Excellent job and very realistic result on this small scale, Boris!
Well done!
This is an amazing diorama, Boris @grgast, very dynamic.
Really love the way the gun trace turned out.
It surprised me nicely too. the sole idea of tracers got this diorama started. airplanes and base themselves are just a scenery for tracers.
Nice, dynamic! Congratulations Boris!
Very creative and "alive!" Well done.
