Falcon 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109G-12

August 20, 2024 · in Aviation · · 16 · 206

About one hundred 109G aircraft were converted to a two seat version during 1944 for training purposes.

produced a basic (and only) styrene Bf 109G-12 version. It is based on the G-4 airframe. I used spare parts from to detail the model.

  1. This is a wonderful build, Rafi @blackmopane
A two-seat 109 is not the prettiest variant in my opinion but your build definitely is.

  2. A good looking 2-seater!

  3. Fantastic result, Rafi! Definitely a distinctive looking 109.
Great that you used detailing parts from a Hasegawa kit.
Painting and weathering are as always excellent!

  4. Nice work, Rafi. That’s the first one of these that I’ve actually seen built.

  5. I once did this conversion, but it wasn't anywhere as nice as this.

    Eduard's 1/48 G-12 should arrive before Christmas.

  6. Nice job on that conversion. Something different for sure!

  7. G'day Rafi (@blackmopane),
This is an aircraft that I've wanted to build for years.
I attempted the old Ventura Avia S-199, a similar short-run kit, but gave up in frustration and built the Hobbycraft kit instead. That put me off the Falcon Bf 109G-12, and so I'm now looking forward to the Eduard offering that Tom mentioned above.
You, however have done an magnificent build with what, I am sure, is not an easy kit.
