Hawker Hurricane Ib(Sea Hurricane) in 1942, Arma Hobby 1/72

I have just completed a and let me post it. This is 's Ib, portraying one of the aircraft on board the aircraft carrier during , a desperate attempt to transport supplies to Malta in the Mediterranean in 1942. It is the latest work of Arma Hobby, and even if it is built as it is, a cool Yellowfin can be reproduced, but there are three points that I have made in my own way. One is that I have challenged riveting, second I have tried to make a realistic "extra dark sea grey" and "dark slate grey", and the last I have thinned the canopy to fit fuselage better. The result was by no means satisfactory, as the rivets on the top surface became almost invisible as I painted over them. All in all, however, when it was finished, the fact that a palm-sized Sea Hurricane appeared on my desk seemed quite wonderful in itself

  11. Awesome Naoki! I think you nailed the colors. The canopies looks great, and as for the riveting, it's realistic. Stand back 15 feet from a real airplane a d see if you see every rivet, you won't. Now doing it in 1/72nd scale, I think it's more realistic the way yours turned out. Great job.

  12. Thank you all for your generous comments! I would keep challenging more on tiny airplane models. Let's look forward to Arma's next item! My hope is Supermarine Walrus in 1/72 although considering its shape, it would be a tough one...
