Tamiya F-84G Thunderjet, 1/48 scale

Hey Party People! Here is my recently completed F-84G in . I designed and cut my own masks for the nose number and roundels with mixed results. PE belt buckles from Tom Anyz were used along with Tamiya tape to add belts to the seat. Paint used was MRP lacquers with various pigments, oils and weathering liquids applied directly onto the paint. Lessons learned will be applied going forward. All comments and critique are greatly appreciated!

  1. Absolutely stunning. Incredibly realistic weathered metallic finish. Thanks for sharing

  2. Not only an excellent job on the aircraft with the paint and making your own masks, but also an excellent job on photographing everything so we can see what you did. Many modelers don't take very appropriate pictures of their work so well done.

  3. That's very good looking weathered aluminum.

  4. What Tom said, that is a beautifully executed weathered aluminum airframe. Quite an inspiration in my opinion. That you for taking the time to share. 🙂

  5. Well done Great job on the weathering I assume from a good color photo!

  8. That's a beauty, Ramon! 🤩

  9. WHAT!? That's not a real aircraft sitting in the desert somewhere? Man, that is an excellent model - beautiful paint and weathering.
