Tamiya 1/48 Fw 190D-9
Hello friends, this time one of my favorite WWII German fighters, FW 190 “dora 9”. With camouflage and markings from “defense of the reich” units, some wear and weathering, the final result pleased me a lot … always improving, always. The Tamiya kit of the 90s, has excellent fittings, almost no putty, only the decals were aged, but a card from aeromaster decals, specific for “doras” solved the issue. The colors are the traditional RLMs 75, 76 and 82.
This was the first time I installed an aerial wire for antenna, using the finest fishing line I found on my dad’s fishing hardware, hahaha. Enjoy…

🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Eduardo … that is a fine looking model. Love the way the light reflects on the weapons bulge in front of the canopy in the Headline picture, nice sense of realism.

Beautiful build of my favorite German warplane. I only wish Tamiya had gotten the wheel wells correct for the Dora! Ah well, it wouldn’t stop me from building one as I rarely turn my kits upside down! The finish is wonderful I love the markings you chose!
