1/72 USAAF Spitfire Vc trop.

February 19, 2025 · in Aviation · · 24 · 158

This is the second Vc that I built for Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios FB New Years group build. This one also used a scheme provided in the kit for a 307th FS plane in Algeria in 1942. I used Barracuda wheels, prop spinner, resin cockpit door and vac sliding canopy section. Seatbelts are Eduard items. Paints are Xtracolor Middle Stone and Dark Earth over Modelmaster Azure Blue. Again, I can't say enough about this kit.

  9. Great model, John @j-healy. You are right that the Airfix Spitfires are really nice, but your skills really brought out the best in it.

  10. Very nice! Did You open pilot's door?

    • Thanks, Capt. Yes, I opened the door, thinned the sidewall and used a Barracuda resin door.
