1/72 USAAF Spitfire Vc trop.
This is the second Airfix Spitfire Vc that I built for Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios FB New Years group build. This one also used a scheme provided in the kit for a 307th FS plane in Algeria in 1942. I used Barracuda wheels, prop spinner, resin cockpit door and vac sliding canopy section. Seatbelts are Eduard items. Paints are Xtracolor Middle Stone and Dark Earth over Modelmaster Azure Blue. Again, I can't say enough about this kit.
Very nicely done! Looks bigger than 1/72!
Thanks, Scott!
Great job, John @j-healy! The chipping is very nice!
Thanks, Felix. I did it with tiny sponges and silver paint.
A great partner to the other Spit...
Thanks, Greg. I wanted to build the 4 gun South African plane but the US option grew on me so I just got a second kit, lol.
Another great job Greg on this one too. Like the other this is a beautiful, eye-catching build!
Thanks, Bob.
Equally beautiful, John @j-healy
They do look wonderful next to each other.
Thanks, John!
Another beauty, John!
Congratulations!
Thanks, Spiros!
Well done! Same remark as the other Spit.
Thanks, Gary!
A nice looking pair of Spits!
Thanks, Chas!
Great model, John @j-healy. You are right that the Airfix Spitfires are really nice, but your skills really brought out the best in it.
Thanks, George!
Very nice! Did You open pilot's door?
Thanks, Capt. Yes, I opened the door, thinned the sidewall and used a Barracuda resin door.
