The model depicts an aircraft flown by Col. A.I Pokryshkin, CO 9.GIAD, Summer 1944.
Although not up to the high standards of the kits that followed this issue, Eduard's Airacobra retains the poise of the real aircraft.
I just acquired this same kit and am deciding which alternative to build. I won’t build this Russian version as you have already done a 100% excellent one. I could not compete with this one. Haha. But you give me an excellent inspiration to go forward. Great work.
If you sand down the wing trailing edge from the inside before assembly to get a nice sharp edge, the kit is still "competitive." As you have shown (twice) it makes up into a nice representation. Excellent results.
Awesome result, Rafi!
Thank you, Spiros!
Amazing result, Rafi @blackmopane

Thank you, Davide!
Nicely done Rafi, this is a great looking Cobra!
Thank you, Bob!
Nice work, Rafi. They must sell a lot of those as it’s constantly reissued.
Thank you, John.
A very good model at low price is a great seller.

Thank you, Mark.
I had practice with the USAAF decal adorned kits😊
I think I will build the shark mouth.

Looks great - I really like the way you get the most of the OD scheme - nicely modulated and weathered.
Thank you, Greg.
