The year in review, 2017
It was a busy year for me, especially with family and work. Even so, I managed to get three models done, all in 1/48. The Pogo was a what if that started out to be a scale project and turned into more fun than anyone should expect to have. The Corsair started as a quick build to get me out of the Dornier doldrums I contracted working on a Do-24 flying boat, which is still in work. The Corsair only took three months! The DC-3 was personal, representing an airplane I flew and worked on during my nomad mechanic days a long time ago. In between these models, I managed to overhaul and repaint an 82 inch span radio control F7F Tigercat that I built for a friend ten years ago.
Next year's projects are on the bench now. I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and hope your holidays are filled with family, friends and laughter.
And good modeling, whatever you build!
Backatcha, Jaime...(love that headline photo). 🙂
Jaime that "what if" Pogo is just pretty!I always thought it was a better looking VTOL than the competitions. That one just looked clunky! Nice Corsair and civil Gooneybird, as well!
These are all great, but being a BIG fan of the DC-3 (& 1 & 2) -C-47 family, I like it best!
Go Gooneybirds!
Nice work! Merry Christmas to you!
I also like the DC3 best Jaime, merry Christmas to you and all iModelers !
You have certainly been a busy man my friend... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Family, friends and laughter, that's the spirit!
Very nice builds, the Pogo looks really cool in what-if markings! Happy holidays!
