USS Indianapolis CA-35 Heavy Cruiser 1945 (1/350 Trumpeter)

Finally, after more than 1 year, and 340 hours of work finished the Indianapolis, a model with many errors, to which many improvements were added...Plastruct Improvements styrene sheet, Rod,strip…, Generic PE raillings from Flyhawk, Gold Medal models vertical and inclined ladders;, cable reels, TDY-1 ECM antenna, Stokes Litters, Watertight Doors, metal chains, PE set, Barrels 203mm and 127mm from Master Models, Flyhawk 40MM Quad Bofors Gun Mount, lifebuoy from dream models, Brass pipe 0,3mm-0,4mm-0,5mm, 0.8mm improvements….etc.etc……weathering from Tamiya set B, invisible thead .004 mm nylon. Tamiya, Model master and Humbrol Enamels Paints.

  1. Really nice build, Anthony. You’ve done a great job.

    I did the Academy “premier” version three or four years ago. It was tough too. There was a mountain of etch to get through. That said, I bought a case for it, but I’m not sure if it was to better admire the subject over time, or to remind me of the pain in building it...

    Well done. And well done too on the photography.
