Tamiya He 162
Hi All, Here's my 1/48 Tamiya He 162. The build was mostly out of the box with added Eduard seat belts, additional cockpit wiring and canopy framing. The paint scheme was painted using Vallejo Model Air paints and the markings are the kit supplied decals. Some light weathering was accomplished using artist oil pin wash for depth and dry-brushing for highlighting. This kit was to be a quick, stress free, enjoyable build, while simultaneously building my Aerosan RF-8 vignette, and the Tamiya kit did not disappoint. Highly recommended. Someday I'd like to build another one. I hope you like it.
Very nice

Very nice work on that HE - 162 , it is and always will be a good conversational piece. This model for sure is no exception. Great model Gary, thank you for sharing the pictures.
Very nice
This actual airplane is at Planes of Fame. If you look up in my "blog" you'll find photos I've taken of the airplane, including a series on the engine, the one time in 30 years it was outside with the cowling opened.
Nice work, this looks like the airplane I have looked at the past 35 years.
Seems that Salamander's are the theme of this new year. Nicely done Gary, especially like the cockpit shots. I Like it.
Great work!
Thanks All for your comments and praises...
Looks great! Well done.
