  1. Kelley! Long time no see. That is a great model and a great story. Learn something new every day.
The old 109 looks good in 'Murican colors.

  2. This is a fantastic build right here ! I like what you did, and I don't ever recall seeing this set of markings on a 109 before. I have three of these Tamiya 109's in the stash and did a kit review on this new tool version from Tamiya here on Imodeler shortly after I joined. After seeing how nice yours turned out, they have just moved into the "build" pile.

It's really nice to see how it builds into a very impressive looking plane.

    Well done, and "liked".

  3. Impressive build, and a very interesting story!

  4. That's a fantastic build of a historically significant plane, Kelley! Attention to detail is excellent! I've heard of the Prince before, but couldn't recall this mission. He had guts! It is interesting that he was not able to get a visa for the USA afterwards...
    All the best!

  5. This build makes the story even greater. Very nice construction.

  6. Great work and detailing! My dad plans to do the same scheme in the future.

  7. lot of work there...what a great livery...don't shoot

  8. Nicely done and what a great piece of forgotten history

  9. Very nice - and quite a story - I'd never heard that before, and I read A LOT!

  10. Thanks everyone for the kind words. The story of this machine is pretty remarkable. I didn't know about it until I bought the decals. As for the Tamiya kit, I highly recommend it to everyone.

  11. I love it when a model tells a story and yours is great. Congratulations on the build!
