Video: MENG 1:48 RCAF P-51D Mustang

July 24, 2019 · in How-to · · 0.8K

This P-51D is from the 442nd Squadron. During WWII this squadron focused mostly on ground attack roles, taking out trains, ammunition depots and tanks. The squadron was painted in a traditional grey-green scheme, with a stunning yellow anti-glare panel, and spinner.

I originally made this as a video 2 years ago, but I was very unsatisfied with the footage I had shot (or the lack thereof) and the overall quality. But about a month ago I found that I hadn't deleted the footage and I decided to once more edit this video faults and all.

Decals were purchased through IPMS Canada, and printed by "The Sweating Beaver" They were a delight to use.
