Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1A Chance-Vought Corsair.
Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1A Chance-Vought Corsair. Piloted by LT(jg) Doris "Chico" Freeman, VF-17 Jolly Rogers. He would claim two victories with VF-17 and an additional seven with VF-84.
Improvements include:
Quinta Studios Cockpit.
Aires Landing Flaps.
Ceramic Wire Antenna.
Blanked off Trailing Edges.
EagleCals decals.
The oil tapes and wing walks are Tamiya decals from the kit, and were the worst Tamiya decals I've ever used. Shattered, tore, etc. The oil tapes are silvered around the edges, despite my best efforts. Oh, well...on to the next one.
Looks like an excellent 1/32 rather than 1/72, James! Truly superb job!
Hard to believe this is such a small sclae, James @jkelleycrna
Splendid result all over.
Would love to see a picture of the Quinta cockpit.
Here you go...not the best quality photos, I'm afraid.

@jkelleycmam thanks a lot, James
Very nice details and still pretty well visible.
I agree with the other's comments. Your skills "upscales" this build. Well done!
Nice work on a classic kit.
Nicely done James.
Well done, James (@jkelleycrna). The technology from companies like Quinta and those that make 3D printed parts sure has changed how accurate we can make a model. Looks great.
Nice work on this James. A great result.
very good looking Corsair!
A great-looking 1/72 Corsair. The extra work looks great. Well done.
Nice looking bent wing bird James.
