352nd Fighter group blue nosed models
A selection of models I made in early 2000's all made from Tamiya Mustang kit 1/48 I was never much good at making them but I did try to get them as historically correct as I could at the time I was in a very good position with in aviation scene and had friends now passed that flew in the group I was a part of the fighter collection team that did restoration on Princess Elizabeth the guidance I had from the 352ndFG Ascn was second to none (get it) and feel it was the main reason the models came out as correct as could be adding small details down to say over spray on prop cuffs and from live experience of Mustangs knowing how they cooled down after flight helped among another details cam shell doors drop at different rates when hydraulic pressure falls after engine off
mostly just made the kits and used eagle strike decals paints were at this time Humbrol enamel and all airbrushed with cheep beginners set you can buy for few quid oh and canned air yeah ha ha
blue nose masked up with tamiya tape sprayed over silver number 11 if I remember correctly decals down with set n sol
invasion markings masked with white block down first and then black over top per post shading I wasn't doing much at this point but they did get a dust over in tamiya smoke as you can see oh and the old Kristal clear for the canopy
at one point I had a little sub site attached the 352nd FG site but now as that's no longer with us my little site went off line too probably quite a while ago now I don't have the models most went off to group members never to be seen by me again
thanks for looking guys
