Both great models that do full justice to the real thing. Been looking at my Skyraider kit for quite some time, but the decal sheet is beyond salvation unfortunately and AM decals for the Navy H version are slim
The Navy bird is perfect in so many ways: it's "scruffy enough" to be realistic; Skyraiders really got dirty with that R-3350. Second, for this particular airplane, which was in SEA in 1966 during the Great Bomb Shortage, arming it with a load of WW-2 "fat bombs" is exactly accurate - and something not widely known among modelers. So a 10 for assembly, a 10 for painting and weathering, and a 10 for historical accuracy.
Thank you Tom!
The one thing that is not accurate are the opened air brakes. Since this build, I largely managed to fight the temptation to open airbrakes position . But flaps, is a more difficult fight...
Both are fantastic, Rafi!
Thank you Spiros!
Well done!
Thank you David!
Excellent work. I can’t imagine how you are able to produce the number of near perfect models that you do.
Thank you Mark.
It is years of dedication to the patterns of oil streaks and dirt 😉
I second all the comments here so far, but Mark’s rhetorical question is one that always goes through my mind with your frequent posts.
Thank you Russel.
Models are excellent topics to explore the beauty of things.

Thank you Pedro.
I hope that you will find the right decals.
Well done, still the best Spad in any scale.
Thank you Rob.
Well done! I love the weathering.
Thank you John!

Excellent work - just the right amount of grunge to make it work!
Thank you Chas!
Beautiful Skyraiders, Rafi @blackmopane
The fuel spill effects are really nice.
Thank you John.
Another beauty! I'm a big fan of the rugged Spad - could rain down a dumptruck load of ordnance!
Thank you Greg!
