ICM 35451 German Truck KHD S3000 1/35
After reading about the (short) fights at Bridge Eleven during operation Market Garden I decided to build a German Truck. I didn't manage to find out which German truck entered the bridge at Grave shortly after lieutenant Thompson and his men took it by surprise, but this ICM-kit looked like a nice build. And it was!
ICM makes wonderful kits in my opinion. The parts fit very well and are properly molded with lots of nice details. I'm still exploring the world of weathering and am quite content with this result. The driver I put in the car is from the ICM German Drivers-kit (35642), the soldier in the back from Tamiya (35129), the boxes and ammunition from MiniArt (35263) and the fuel drums Miniatt as well (35597).
These German trucks are a joy to build, so it's nice to know I have some more in stock.
That’s a very convincing looking truck, very nicely finished, Harm, the background looks interesting too.
Thanks George. When filled the tumbler glasses in the background give a nice reward after building. 😉
I really appreciate the ICM softskins, too, Harm. Your build is a very nice rendition of this lesser known truck, and you've given it an interesting cargo and set of figures. Congratulations!
Thanks Christopher!
A very fine build, Harm @hptiggelaar
The loading of the truck makes it look much more dynamic.
I'm pretty sure that those trucks did pass the bridge in Grave.
Thanks John. I will make some more to find the one that must have driven there. 😉
Fantastic job, Harm!
Thanks Spiros!
Great looking truck, the weathering is great Harm, I assume the crystal background is so that we know its a model and not the real thing.
Thanks Ian!
