Takom 1/350 Italian Horizon Class Destroyer D553 Andrea Doria
For your attention, my latest model is a representative of the modern Italian-French series of destroyers of the Horizon class. I am not a supporter of modeling modern ships - the requirements of stealth technologies make them indistinct and uniform at first glance. Most of the weapon systems, machines, and mechanisms are hidden in the middle of the ship's hull and closed from the outside with hatches and shutters. Trying to add some variety, I opened the hangar, rolled the helicopter into the take-off position and opened the blinds on the starboard side. Respect to the Hong Kong Takom - a complex hull with integrated superstructures, a hangar, launchers is assembled perfectly and without gaps. My small mistake - when taking photos, the light gray color of the ship's side has a blue tint on the screen.
Nice work.
You could correct the blue tint easily with a photo-treatment program. Another advice if permitted: I usually don't use a white background for photos; it "disturbs" the exposure meter. I prefer a medium grey or medium blue, sometimes green; depending on the colours of the subject.
That is a beautiful ship, and you did a great job on it!
Nice looking model ! You did excellent work on it
A very nice build, Ihor @matiukhiv
Well done.
I agree with your take on modern ships 100%. That being said you built a great kit here and made it look really nice with the extra attention you paid to the small details. Well done!
Really nice work on this graceful tin can- the Italians sure know design, I'll say that. Slava Ukrainia!
thank you for your support. Glory to the heroes!
Excellent job and really great result, Ihor!
