Models have been along periodically since childhood.
Over the years, I built close to 1000 models.
I want to share my excitement from this great hobby with the images presented here.
A perfect basic color combination that adorns Japan's sea reconnaissance Phantoms.
Hasegawa's RF-4E boxing of the original F version is more difficult to build due to the changes made in the nose area. Much more test fitting is required if [...]
Swords 1/48 Lightning Mk.4 is a short run kit. Hence, a considerable amount of work is required by comparison to the standard injection kit, such as Airfix' Lightning. Nonetheless, after filling the large seams it looks equally good.
The Stearman was a trainer in the early days of the IDF. The iconic aircraft received several schemes during its decade long service. I chose two of the more common schemes while in service.
Roden's Stearman is a most problematic build. [...]
The large Revell Mosquito is a nice kit in spite its age. It is very basic, particularly the cockpit and has raised panel lines. Nonetheless, it retains the characteristic Mosquito outlines. I separated flying surfaces and detailed the [...]
Red 10 and 6 were captured by the Allied and photographed while evaluated before being scrapped. Some data suggest that Red 6 had RLM 75 painted on upper wing surfaces instead of the RLM 82 presented here.
Dragon's kit is a challenge to [...]
The Syrian Air Force had several variants of the Flogger in service. Conveniently I chose The Mig-23ML model of which one landed in Israel and was well photographed.
Trumpeter's 1/48th scale model is challenging. The difficulties in the [...]
While not the largest operational aircraft in the Luftwaffe, the Wiking performed effective service through transporting supplies and personnel. With six engines, it was still underpowered and required a long stretch of (quiet) water [...]
Here are three Typhoon Ib models representing operational aircraft. These entail the "car door", "tear drop" canopy and the four blade propeller. Other than the filling of false panel lines on the fuselage, it is a [...]
Probably, the best kit in the scale. Revell's new tool Shackleton is superior (but not by a large margin) to the Airfix kit. In all, it is not a difficult build and results with a big and impressive model.
A nice and easy to build model. The highlight of the model is the engine exhaust area with the colorful burnt metal patterns. No fancy metallizers there, just a touch of diluted colors over darkened silver paint.
