After building models for over 40 years I quit in October, 2016. I have 284 models here at home with 300 awards. I have written several dozen model stories for 5 websites and 4 monthly newsletters.

PACIFIC PRINCESSPart Two & Last Part.

In part one I showed the beginning of making this fine looking model and ended by adding some aluminum tubing to the nose wheel. In Part 2 I'm showing the finished nose wheel along with a print of the real wheel. I like my canopies [...]

1/48 SCALE "PACIFIC PRINCESS." Part One:

This model is a "GEM" to build and I did what we call here in America; "A Bang Up Job." I have quite a few top quality "in-progress" building images that I though would make a good two-part story. Study the [...]

B-26 bomber

I built this model in 1985 and I remembered that I hand painted on the sharks mouth. I use a bare metal paint called; "METALIZER." I was brand new @ model building . I knew nothing about "re-scribing" panel lines. I [...]

MODEL SNOW

My last segment was written about using "Bacon Soda" for my snow and became a great learning experience. IT'S LIKE: "Would you put water in your car's gas tank to see if the engine would still operate? I"m re-sending [...]

Bacon Soda

My pride & joy F2G Corsair got ruined by my stupidity...I should have did an experiment before I put the soda on the model...RJW

My written comment say that I built this model way back in 2010, therefor @ 89 years old I can not remember everything I did during the building process, however that process stayed the same for about 30 years. I spruced up the cockpit and [...]

MY PHOTO STUDIO 1984-2016.

Here are 4 digital images of my photo studio. As a retired professional photographer and model builder I made this simple set up to take "top-quality" photos of my finished models. I used my six foot long by 3 foot wide fold-up [...]

Two Unfinished Airline Models

My hands began to shake in 2000 and by late 2016 I could no longer produce "quality" workmanship on my models, thus I quit building, however I had a wonderful career from 1977 until late 2016 building model's plus all the regular [...]

More Airline Models

Here is the rest of my airline models. I used the kit decals with my Tamiya paints. RJW
