Currently I live in Virginia Beach. I have been building models off and on for around 50 some years now. Give or take. As you can see by the posts of models that I have made I generally build motorcycles. Any scale, it doesn't matter. Small to large. Favorites would be the Tamiya kits as the engineering in these are far superior to other model companies. I hope that you all enjoy the posts that I make and I'll be posting more as they become available.
I recently received this kit and have started building already. It's been a while since I posted here so I though it was time to change that.
As you can see here I have started with the priming of the main parts trees. This is being [...]
This is the build review for the 1/12 Tamiya XV1600 RoadStar. This is the model that I received for winning the Model of the Month award! I thought it would be appropriate to give a decent review of the kit as construction rolls [...]
Thanks iModeler. The model that you allowed me to choose arrived today. Needless to say I chose another motorcycle. The Tamiya XV1600 RoadStar. I am sure it will be another fine Tamiya kit.
Thanks to all the judges that chose my [...]
Well, it seems as though this is the "holy grail" of the big scale bikes. I finally managed to get one a while back at an incredibly good price.
Although the original plan for a fully wrapped U.S.A. flag bike had to be scrapped [...]
Well, yet another 1/6 scale bike. But I wanted to do something completely different. I went with the white frame...
And I chose to completely light this one with LED's.
Construction was the same as the other 1/6 scale that I posted [...]
This is next up for the workbench. REALLY looking forward to doing this large-scale build. If anyone has any tips or suggestions please feel free to leave them in the comments or send me a message,
I have also ordered these 1.8mm LED's [...]
Next up on the workbench will be this 1918 Harley-Davidson Model 18F. Again made by ENTEX. This will be the third in a series of four that I have built.
I am going to try and get it as close to the original color as you see in these [...]
I am working on a hard-to-find 1914 Militaire. This motorcycle was, for it's era, built and advertised as a two-wheeled car.
The first thing that was necessary was to strip ALL of the chrome plating. Chrome was not in wide use in 1914 [...]
Here's another recently completed motorcycle. The 1/9 Scale Testors Heritage Softail. I got this one soon after finishing the IMEX Heritage. I expected things to be a bit different but that wasn't to be the case. This model is EXACTLY [...]
Here's the IMEX Heritage Softail that I recently completed.
This is the model still in it's plastic bags...
I did not go with the out-of-the-box version of this one. I wanted to go with white as the base for the "leather" [...]
