1/72 scale aircraft ww2 – present, mostly military.
These are the Revell and Tamiya Fw-190's in 72nd scale. Both are built with the included decals and finished as per kits' instructions. The Revell kit is quite good in fit and details but may have a somewhat small engine cowling, but for me it's[...]
Up to a few years ago, this was regarded as the most accurate Flanker in 1/72nd scale by many modellers. There was the Hasegawa kit which although much superior in build quality and surface detail, had some terrible inaccuracies. I built this ar[...]
Another oob build. This is said to be more accurate than the Tamiya version but not as easy going as the Tamiya. Still it is not difficult to build, and would recommended it.
Built straight from the box using two sets of kit decals. Green areas are airbrushed and only used the black outlines from the decals. Also, the black outlines are modified from the Fujimi instructions to reflect the few photos of this aircraft.[...]
Built straight OOB. Good value for money, with good fit overall. There is a mistake in the decal sheet: the woman figure should be facing towards the cockpit, i.e. backwards on the starboard side. I only noticed this in the reference photos a fe[...]
Here is Heller's Mig-29UB. It is quite good both in fit and shape. I had already built the Airfix single seater, and when I got this from a friend, I thought that I will make one of those infamous Moldovian Mig-29UB for which I have two decal sh[...]
Special Hobby TR-1A built straight from the box. The only real let down of this kit, at least my example, were the poorly printed decals. On the sheet they looked excellent, but on applying them to the black surface, a strong white outline emerg[...]
This is Trumpeter's inexpensive An-2 offering in 1/72nd scale. A little better than the Italeri offering but not by much! Used the kit decals but after along time from completion, a Polish friend of mine pointed out to me that no Polish AF aircr[...]
OOB build with the kit decals, but without the Korean war stripes. Roundels were out of register and I printed some as I couldn't find suitable replacements.
My first post here on imodeler. I'm not up to the standard of most modelers here.......but here is my Revell P-47, finished in Alclad paints with the kit decals.
