Had these photos ready for quite some time, but never seemed to have a moment to post this past summer. Hurricane Lee has provided me two days (while I have power and internet) to finally post this.
I have FINALLY built my 1/48 [...]

I found the above photo on Pinterest Japan. It states that White 5 is a TBF-1 Avenger of VT-4 overflying USS Ranger on 9 September 1943.

1:48 Scale, Accurate Miniatures TBM-3 "Avenger"
Calling this one DONE!
One of my favorite kits to build, (I've built three...). The kit overall suffers from a wee bit of over engineering, (As in you won't see most of what's in the fuselage...). The fit and level of detail is very well [...]

I finished it as Ensign Bert Earnest’s Torpedo 8 TBF, which made it to Pearl Harbor took late to join [...]
Accurate Miniatures 1/48 TBM Avenger
This Avenger was one of the absolute best model kits I've ever had the pleasure to put together, all thanks to Jay Mitchell. He sent me this model a while back in an effort to clean out his stash, and I took every opportunity to try new [...]
Flight 19 Lost Squadron 75th Anniversary Tribute AM 1/48 TBF-1C Avenger
As noted with Chuck Villanueva's post the lost of Flight 19 to this day remains a mystery.
The Men: Cpt George W. Stivers Jr. was born in Piedmont , Missouri in 1920 and was a graduate of the US Navel Academy. He would serve with the 1st [...]
