Bristol Beaufighter

Tamiya Beaufighter Mk. VI

This kit was built originally as a RAAF Mk.21 shortly after the kit was released. I later felt that the foliage green overall finish didn't do it justice & decided to re-do it as a Mk. VI from 30 Squadron RAAF. This gave me a lot more [...]

Beaufighter TF.X by Tamiya in 1/48 scale

Needing something simpler after my last build I opted for Tamiya's Beaufighter TF.X & discovered a wealth of detail on the web for Coastal Command squadrons based at RAF Dallachy in Scotland. I was lucky to find Aviaeology decals for [...]

Hello. This is a fine model from Airfix and I am satisfied with how it looks. I had no problems during assembly. Thanks everyone. Cheers mates

Australian National Aviation Museum, Victoria, Australia (more photos now)

This time we take a look at the Australian National Aviation Museum at the Moorabbin Airport just a bit outside Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its one of those museums you really get close to the objects, to touch and sit in, smell the [...]

Next lot of Battle of Britain Builds

Following on from my post last week with the first of my Battle of Britain series from MAI this year, here are the next four builds which appeared in the May to August issues. The builds are: Tamiya Bristol Beaufighter converted to a [...]

1/72 scale Hasegawa Beaufighter MK VI

This model was built 11 years and was one of the first 1/72 scale projects I completed in this scale. After years of thinking 1/48 scale was the only thing worth building I was presently surprised how much fun this scale could be, [...]
