Monogram model kits

Monogram T-28D

Well another oldie but goodie for you this evening. The Monogram 1/48ish T-28D from the mid-sixties I believe. I even built it will all of the operating features but decided to go ahead and lock down the flimsy gear with a touch of [...]

Republic P-47D ThunderboltMonogram 1/48

I've finally completed this kit after a long period of in-process limbo. But first I must briefly explain how this kit came to be on my work bench in the first place. It all started when I purchased a second-hand Hasegawa P-47D, mainly due [...]

Custom Chevy 39 Monogram 1/25

Hi all, just finished the 4th car model, not the best effort but still learning...hope you like it.

I/48th Monogram F-102A

This F-102A was built pretty much out of the box with the exceptions being an Eduard PE seat belt and after-market decals from Draw. A trouble free build but I was surprised at how big that finished model is. The gray paint was MM enamel [...]

Classic Kit: Monogram 1/48 P-38 First Edition (1964)

Here is Monogram's P-38 built out of the box. This is an original first edition, kit PA97-200, and as the code shows it was priced at $2.00. Later boxings of the kit showed yellow cowlings, but on this one I painted it as the [...]

Vintage Monogram 1/72 F-105B (1958)

First issued in the late 1950s Monograms F-105B included moving parts and a pilot that could be ejected. This is a later version without those features and showed an F-105B in Vietnam. The first time I built this kit was in 1973 and [...]

1/48 SNJ-5c

This is the old but still the best, Monogram kit. The last time I built one of these was when it came out in 1979. This one was made from a 2008 Revell release, made in China. Since Revell’s bankruptcy, I’ve noticed that a lot of [...]

Captured Hawk, P-36/ H75 in the Luftwaffe. Monogram 1/72.

This represents one of the dozen or so H 75's that were captured by Germans, which sold many to the Finns. I think that the Monogram kit is still the best representation of the P-36 in 1/72. Thanks go to Tom Bebout for supplying the kit.

Hawker Typhoon Mk IB 1/48

I have no idea just how old this kit is; I know it was issued in the early 1970s at least. So, it won't have the features found on today's great models. But, perhaps we can see how much improvement manufacturers have made since then? [...]
