This cross breed Spitfire model was built in 2011. It is 1/48 Tamiya Spitfire MkVb mated with Fusion DB605 conversion set. This aircraft (Spitfire MkVb serial EN850 / NX-X) flown by P/O Bernard Scheidhauer was captured in Jersey island [...]
Hi Guys
I want to share my supermarime Spitfire Mk.I from tamiya kit.
I cooperated it with aires detail set (open engine, gun bays, cockpit) and photoetched parts by eduard (flaps). I also made a lot of details myself (rivets, etc.) I [...]
Having double ordered Airfix's new 1/48 scale Spitfire XII & Seafire XVII & completed one of each with a great deal of satisfaction, I wondered what to do with the second pair of kits that would be more interesting than doing the [...]

This model was converted to a Mk.Vc by replacing filling, sanding, and rescribing the wings. A lot. It features Ultracast exhausts, propeller & spinner, wheels, and seat w/Sutton harness. Paints were mixed from Floquil military flats [...]
This is the Hobby Boss kit; supplied as the 'trop' version but with box contents inconsistent with the box artwork. I elected to modify some parts to produce a British (Kenley) based, early Mk. Vb as the sole windscreen in the kit [...]
This was a commission build for a friend. The markings are 601 Sqn but are fictitious as per the aircraft he flies online. The Tamiya kit is an absolute pleasure to build and features a beautifully detailed Merlin 60 engine set to which I [...]
