Academy 1/48 F-4U Corsair

Another one of my favorite Warbirds, F4-U . This kit is fairly detailed, in this scale it could be richer on details, however the fittings were well satisfactory requiring little putty. I buid it direct from the box, I use aluminum as base before painting on all my planes, so scratches and scrapes are made in the most real way possible, scratching the paint with a grit sandpaper 150 already well worn. The colors of the US Navy are really cool ... I hope you enjoy ...

  1. Looks like a nice build...gotta love those "bent-wings".

    Another classic, job well done.

  3. Hello Eduardo...Always nice to see a 'bent wing' bird. Thank you for sharing your interpretation of that classic fighter.

  4. Looks good. I like your base coat/sand paper technique - achieved nice results with that. Good overall finish and weathering. The center section of the under fuselage area looks a bit clean for a Pacific area land-based bird, but overall a very nice looking model!

  5. Love it ! One of my faves.
