Arghhhh there be bogey’s about the islands…..
Continuing on with my Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1A Jolly Rogers Corsair, wow what a kit. As others have said it is better engineered than their Mustang. Not a shake and bake, but just beautiful. So far the only extras are the Barracuda cockpit decals, which are not for the feint of heart, they areTINY! But go on nicely and snuggle down great with softener, and Eduards fabric seat-belts, which are fiddly but look great.
Great job on that cockpit, Rob...and I agree with your assessment - it's arguably the best engineered kit on the market.
Excellent detail.
That is a really complete and well done cockpit. It looks real. Amazing.
Thanks guys, the main credit goes to Tamiya's desogn and Barracuda decals decal set.
Great start, Rob!
Modelling wise you got a great time ahead of you. This kit is the pride of creation.
Now that's looking nice.
Nice work on making it look "lived in."
Wow! You know, the guys in my club often chide me for sticking with 1/72 scale due to the "size" of the parts and being able to see them at my age (or theirs). But when you look at a 1/32 cockpit like this (or wheel well, etc), there is no less smaller pieces and details than in a 1/72 build - it's just in different places!
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Outstanding work there Rob, that cockpit alone is a model all alone, I look forward to the model as a whole.
Wow! What an amazing detail work!
Thats amazing work!
