Trumpeter 1/144 Tu-16k-26 Badger G
I initially had problems photographing this build. Because of the light gray color the fine detail always seemed to disappear. To-day with a re-shoot under a light overcast sky, I had better luck.
This was an excellent Trumpeter kit, finished with MM light ghost grey, with some light weathering.

Phil, that turned out nicely! Thanks for the tip on the overall color. I tend to get wrapped aroud the axle on “authentic’ colors. Close enough is good enough. This looks “right”.

Great work, Phil! I like these old Soviet Air Force planes. The colour is right on, as is your build.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Jeffry !!. The Soviets had some tuff looking aircraft.

I like it! I only wish you’d have put in a “common object” in one of the pics to give us less-than-informed plastic freaks a reference as to the the actual size of a 1/144th Badger. 🙂

Glad you like it !! I rarely put ref. objects in my photos, other that the back ground. It’s ta fool up yer peepers Matey !!. But it’s about 10 inches long.

Thanks, mate….(and I’m not gonna comment on the obvious) – 🙂

The subdued light really suits it, Phil, helps to make it look more “Russian” somehow. Good job.

Your right George:the hazy sky and the light turned down 20% did give it that “look”. Thanks !!

Looks good Phil, I don’t have this one in my stash but I do have a Bear to do at dome stage !

The 1/144 scale Trumpeters are worth every penny, and this one didn’t set me kilt on fire either. Thanks Allan !! Good luck on the build.

Looks great! I also have a Trumpeter 1/72 IL-28 I’m eager to build in Nigerian scheme. I’ve only built one Trumpeter kit so far, and it was a pretty good experience.
Phil Steele said on June 1, 2017
Thanks Greg !! And I said they’re good kits. This kit had a fair amount of detail in the office, but it’s invisible due to the scale. Good luck on the build.
