Tamiya BF-109 E 4 1/72 with little Luftwaffe Hangar
The illustrated machine is the white 7 of the Lt. Josef Bürschgens 7./JG 26, Caffiers Aug. 1940, that is, at the time of the Battle of Britain. As you know, the Tamiya kits are a pleasure to build and there are no difficulties to bring this one into a realy nice model. But I would like to go a little bit further.
Additional/aftermarket parts I have used:
– Master-Model AM-72-009 Bf 109 E3 – E9, T armament set / 1:72
– Kagero Topcolors Battle of Britain Part III Decals
– Techmod Decals for maintenance hints
– Main wheels from Zvezda
– Yahu Instruments for the 109 E
– Eduard cockpit parts from Airfix 109 E set
The Pilot is a 1/48 scale figure, but fits realy good in this scene I think. Let me know what you think about.
The little Luftwaffe Hangar ist from this site: http://www.airmodel.de/shop_content.php?coID=209
Ho ho !
This is wonderful Andreas
You're at the heart of modeling in 1/72 scale, with an opened and detail warbird and the dio really really adds great visual value to the plane.
Great build of a gran classical (but tricky) subject...
great painting too...
Thank you!
Excellent job !
Another very well done little (and I do mean little) build, my friend. You certainly have a talent - and an eye - for the details. Wonderful job, sir!
Outstanding! Very well done, Andreas. Thanks for sharing your wonderful dioramas with us!
Your two 109's show excellent modeling skills. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Andreas, first rate diorama, all the details work and fit in. Love that hangar! The shot with the mechanic standing in front of the ME-109 is almost real.
Nice work again.
Beautiful work Andreas!
Thank you to all of you, happy that you like my work.
Real nice! the hanger and backdrop are great
Andreas, another beauty in 1/72 scale. I hope you have more. I like it !
Thanl you @all.
Terry I have more of models like that, but dont want to flood the site : ) stay tuned for more...
Andreas - it's really frustrating for an oldie like me who struggles to get the sort of detail you've managed on 1/48 scale kits, let alone in 1/72 scale. It's a really impressive demo of the art of 1/72 scale modelling that my clumsy fingers would fail to achieve. Reall well done!
Paul
Hey Paul, thank you very much. Happy that you like it.Try to use a realy good magnifying glass (min x 3,5) and you can discover a new world. This is my way to handle all the tiny details. Greetings Andreas
Andreas, You've done it again! Your '109 looks fabulous as does the diorama. Such detail & finish in 1/72 scale is wonderful!
Como me gusta . No parece escala 1/72 .
A truly incredible diorama, especially for 1/72. The photography however overwhelms the modeling skills. It's one thing to build a scale diorama, it's quite another to bring it to life in photographs. The skills combined create this kind of masterpiece.
