Zoukei-Mura 1/48 F-4J
It’s been awhile since I have posted anything. This is my first completed build since having a second stroke on June 25th, I built this kit just using one hand and if it had not been engineered great I would not have been able to finish it. I have the fuel tanks and weapons completed but have not added them yet. I used Furball decals painted it with Bombshell Brew.

Welcome back. Lloyd…you’ve done better with ONE hand than many I’ve seen built with TWO (mine leaps to mind). And that is indeed a very well engineered kit. I’ve done two myself and will undoubtedly get another. Good to see you back at it, sir.

There’s nothing like a well-built Phantom. Great job, Lloyd!

Another winner, Lloyd! (I saw the Mirage before this one.)
I surely hope you regain the use of your hand soon. Having survived a partial stroke myself and lost about 75% of my memories, I understand a little of what you’re faced with. That was early last spring (2016) & I’ve re-gained about 90-95% of my memories back, so I have great hopes for you!
Like Craig said, your build looks as good as many I’ve seen by folks with BOTH hands working!
Bravo, my friend. God Bless.
(PS – After I was out of INtensive care I asked my Doctor what a “partial stroke” was and he said, “One that doesn’t kill you!” That might not be quite technically and/or medically correct, but I got his meaning.)

Jeff. my compliments to your Dr, for his outstanding definition of “partial stroke”. I’ll keep that in mind.

Welcome back Lloyd, outstanding work and with one hand no less. My best to you on your recovery.

Fine build, Lloyd. Your work with one hand superior to mine with two.
Keep gluing them up; hopefully its good therapy….mentally and physically.

Beautiful! One-handed or not, it is on par with top builds! Prayers for a full recovery.

Phantastic Phantom, Lloyd! and I love your choice of VF-92 Silver Kings markings, a scheme you don’t see modeled often. Last year I finally broke down and bought a 1/48 Academy F-4B, but I keep hearing amazing things about the 1/48 Zoukei-Mura Phantoms. I’ll probably break down and get one of those too. And best of luck on your recovery!

I think you’ll like them. I’m working on the S model at the moment

Like Craig said: better work with one hand than many do with two. Very nice result.
