Classic Quantas Scheme Allan great to see lovely work
Allan J Withers said on January 18, 2018
Thanks David, what does the U stand for ? I kept putting it in and deleting it myself !!
David Mills said on January 18, 2018
Poor spelling on my part mainly! But you are right I think it is because Q is almost always followed by a U as in Queensland
Ray Seppala said on January 18, 2018
David, QANTAS is an acronym, Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services, so no U required.

Allen, This is really nice !, I’m guessing that even at this scale this baby should be a pretty good size model. Well done !
Allan J Withers said on January 18, 2018
Thanks Terry, without measuring it’s about 320mm wingspan and 400mm long.
Tom Bebout said on January 18, 2018
Nicely done Allen, really like that Qantas scheme. Like Terry said even at 1/200 that baby has got to be big.

Thanks Tom, it is.

I love the Roo, Allan! I dabble in airliners and really prefer these old schemes with cheat lines over the “billboard” liveries we see today. Nice work.
Allan J Withers said on January 18, 2018
Thanks John, I like some of the new schemes !
Rob Pollock said on January 18, 2018
Striking scheme and clean looking build, which of course is a must for airliners.

Thanks Rob, it is that.

Looks great Allan, one day I will build my B747SP in these colours. Love the old ochre cheat line scheme and what you have done with the build.

Very neat work, Allan, as we’ve come to expect from you. You say you used Dulux? Unless it’s different in Australia, Dulux is a range of paints for DIY enthusiasts, did you apply it with a roller? (Only joking, but I am curious.)
Allan J Withers said on January 19, 2018
Thanks George, same in Aus’, paint is paint, applied with airbrush !!
Julian Shawyer said on January 19, 2018
