Wolfpack 1/48 T-38

January 12, 2018 · in Aviation · · 9 · 2.3K

Another completion from last year. Not too much to say about this guy...the kit was fair, some parts better than others. The resin included by was pretty darned good, but the PE was miserable to work with...Manufacturers, please don't use stainless steel for your etch! It's far too hard, and doesn't work well or easily; there's no need to reinvent the wheel, stick with brass. I also used the Eduard Big Ed kit. There was a little duplication between the kit provided etch and the Eduard bits, but all said, they played well together. Decals were Caracal, if I'm not mistaken, and a pleasure to work with. My biggest gripes were the less than positive canopy attachment and the atrocious fit of the fwd glare shield. Biggest positives were...well, damn, thats a sexy looking airplane!
