I like the effect you achieved Aldican. I am a big user of oils in my models. Ever since I first used them I never turned back, so I can imagine the time it took you on this model, even considering it’s 1/72, the Tomcat is a big plane
I just did a wash with oils a mix of burnt umber and black rest is airbrushig but let me say it is really time consumeing and ive redone some effects several times till im satisfied
Terrific Tomcat!
In 1/72, that’s especially impressive. Takes a special eye to get that detail in the finish in such small areas. Wonderful, Adilcan.
Some lovely creative touches here. Very nice.
Thanks gents i had really take my time with this one especially to create the weathering effect coused by salty sea weather

I acctually achieved most of the effects with airbrushing
Interesting, I find the control of these effects far better with oils, so you did a great job

Beautiful realistic weathering. 1/72 - Wow!
Stellar craftsmanship, sir...amazing work right there.
Beautiful. I am working on a Finemolds F-14 A "Jolly Rogers -Nimitz" myself. Seeing this finish gives me some motivation.
How is the finemolds kit does it have any fit issues etc. ?
Thank you gents
Beautifully done, Adilcan!
Excellent! Nice weathering and paint work. Lovely Tomcat!
1/72...excellent details and nicely weathered. A pleasure to view!
